Remichar is Nordiczero's biochar solution for stabilising contaminants. The biochar acts as a sorbent that binds substances and can reduce their mobility and leaching.
Treatment can take place in situ, in excavated soil or in a separate treatment area. The biochar, dosage and method are selected based on soil properties and the contamination present. Stabilisation retains the contaminants; it does not break the substances down.
We have completed and ongoing projects involving PAHs, DDT and PFAS. Each project requires its own testing and performance assessment.

We work on projects to stabilise PFAS in soil. The contamination profile and leaching tests are used to assess suitable treatment for each project.

- Test the performance. Material selection and leaching tests inform the dosage and method.
- Plan the treatment. The approach is developed in dialogue with the project consultant and relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up. Sampling and documentation are adapted to the treatment objectives.

Filtration solutions for
tomorrow's stormwater.
We are developing biochar-based water filtration solutions with leading industry partners. The focus is on filtering organic contaminants and PFAS in stormwater systems.
The product is under development and is not yet available as a finished offering. Product launch is expected in spring 2027.
